American Family Planning is a Florida licensed women's reproductive health care provider. We provide gynecologic care, family planning, and abortion services for women. Our patients are sometimes harassed by demonstrators and protesters who are religiously opposed to a woman's freedom of choice and women's sexual freedom. Our patients and staff need protection from this harassment.
Applicants must be, first and foremost, fully supportive and respectful of women and women's rights, including a woman's right to freedom of choice over her body.
Job duties include:
* protecting our patients
* protecting our staff
* escorting patients from their car into our clinic,
* monitoring protesters
* ensuring that the protesters do not encroach on our property
* photographing protester activity
* politely informing and warning protesters about any violations
* reporting protester violations to the police
* remaining alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators;
* approaching suspicious persons and/or notifying police as appropriate;
* may confront and detain violators, as required, until police arrive
* escorting staff to their car
* attempting to prevent confrontations between protesters and patients
* calming upset patients
* watching for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations;
* picking up our doctor from the airport and driving him to the clinic
* peacefully resolving disputes within the clinic
* peacefully and calmly preventing and/or de-escalating confrontations
* the ability to diplomatically defuse tense situations
* patrolling the property on foot
* keeping the property and parking area attractive and clean from debris
* some property maintenance, as needed
* miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Required education:
